Job Title:                    Inventory Control Associate

Reports To:                Costing/ Inventory Control Manager

Responsible for all assigned tasks relating to cycle counting at all manufacturing facilities at Best Home Furnishings, including satellite plants.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct cycle counts in all manufacturing plants, reconcile any discrepancies, and document the results on a daily basis.

• Coordinate documentation requirements with outside independent auditors.

• Maintain reporting documentation on existing cycle counting program.

• Review existing inventory receiving and disbursement procedures and make recommendations for improvements.

• Assists in resolving inventory receiving and disbursement issues.

• Coordinate cycle count observations with independent outside auditors.

• Ensures compliance to inventory processes & procedures.

• Maintain and update all inventory locations and maps.

• Assist in compiling data related to special projects, as requested by the Costing/Inventory Control Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to communicate effectively (oral & written); ability to resolve issues in a timely manner; self motivated; ability to safely operate a forklift and/or stock picker; creative problem solving; possess a strong attention to detail and good with numbers; prior cycle counting experience a plus.  Excel knowledge a plus.
